Kuvale Puli Koddel ( Wintermelon/ Ash Gourd Curried Inwards A Tangy Coconut-Based Sauce)

Ingredients:


Ash gourd/ Wintermelon: 1 slice weighing close 1 lb
Jaggery: 1 tsp
Salt: to taste
Water: 1 cup

For roasting together with grinding:

Dried crimson chillies: 4
Urad dal: 1 tsp
Chana dal: 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds: 1 tbsp
Raw rice: 1 tbsp
Grated coconut: three tbsp
Hing: pinch
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
Sesame seeds: three tsp


For tempering:

Coconut oil: 1 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves : 1 sprig

Method:


Peel together with cutting the launder gourd into seize amongst teeth size pieces. Cook it amongst salt, jaggery together with ane loving cup H2O until tender. Keep aside.

Dry roast all the ingredients listed nether " for roasting together with grinding". When cooled grind to a medium fine glue using a petty water.

Tempering:
