Seafood Noodle Soup & Seafood Noodles; Thai Style.



When y'all choose the sniffles, your pharynx is all scratchy, the caput feels heavy, the trunk is achy, it is mutual depression temperature outside...well, y'all desire something that is comforting, something that is soothing. You definitely don't experience similar cooking anything elaborate! So what do y'all want?? I flora myself inward such a predicament ane eventide in addition to wanted to choose soup for dinner. Soup that was flavorful, amongst lots of texture, spicy thence that my sinuses could opened upwardly up in addition to hot in addition to pipe thence that my pharynx could live on soothed. I was remembering my practiced friend Arvind mallya's Manchow soup. That's what I wanted.  I took a mental inventory of my refrigerator in addition to pantry in addition to the best affair I could intend of was Seafood noodle soup. I had a few veggies inward the refrigerator that I needed to finish. I had some shrimp inward the refrigerator which I could use. I had chicken broth inward the pantry. Perfect. Servings: 4-6


Ingredients:


Green beans:4-6, chopped fine
Carrot:1 medium sized, diced small
Cauliflower florets: 1 cup
Cabbage, chopped fine : 1 cup
Fresh babe corn: 1 cup
Onion: 1 small, chopped fine
Garlic: 2-3 pocket-size cloves, minced
Ginger: 1 inch, minced
Spring onions /scallions: 2-3, chopped fine.
Basil leaves, chopped: 2 tbsp
Cilantro leaves, chopped: 1 tbsp
Shrimp amongst head: 12-14, cleaned in addition to marinated amongst salt, dark pepper in addition to turmeric powder.
Egg: 1, beaten inward a bowl.
Chicken broth: 1 tin ( y'all tin also utilisation vegetable broth).
Tom yum soup paste: 2 tbsp
Soy sauce: three tbsp
Oyster sauce: 1 tbsp
Hot sauce: 1 tbsp
Tomato ketchup: 1 tbsp
Sesame oil: 1 tbsp
Black pepper:1 tsp,freshly ground
Salt: every bit per taste.
Corn flour: 1 tsp, dissolved inward 1/4cup water.

Rice noodles, cooked: 2 cups
Crushed roasted peanuts: 1/4 loving cup ( for garnishing).

Method:


Heat sesame crude inward a wok upon high heat. Sauté ginger, garlic, chopped onions, white utilisation of saltation onions for a minute.


Now add together the chopped greenish beans, babe corn, carrots, cauliflower in addition to cabbage ane subsequently the other for a duad of minutes until slightly tender.

Add the chicken broth, Tom yum soup base, all the sauces, ketchup, salt, pepper, basil leaves in addition to cilantro leaves. ( Reserve a niggling basil in addition to cilantro leaves for garnish).
