Cauliflower Sukka( Cauliflower Cooked Amongst Spices Together With Coconut); Meatless Monday



I honey cauliflower inwards whatsoever form. I could swallow it roasted, steamed, broiled, grilled, stir-fried, curried.. You advert it, I similar it! I am ever looking for word innovative ways to gear upward it. You would already convey seen cauliflower mussalum together with cauliflower pepper fry. Here is approximately other dish that is slowly to brand together with came out real nice. This dish was inspired by  who posted a recipe called broccoli sukka on KCCB, a foodie grouping that I am a fellow member of inwards Facebook. I flora the recipe interesting. However I could non imagine using the broccoli for that role every bit my kids together with I similar broccoli best steamed or stir-fried. We don't similar it over-cooked. So, the closest vegetable that I idea would suit this recipe was cauliflower. I tried it together with liked it. It is real unproblematic together with slowly to brand without likewise many spices. Servings: 3-4


Ingredients:

Cauliflower : i small-scale head
Oil: ii tbsp
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Jeera ( cumin seeds): 1/2 tsp
Onion: 1 medium, chopped fine
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp
Tomato: 1 medium, chopped.
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1 tsp( tin give notice accommodate according to private taste)
Asofoetida ( hing):a pinch if using the powder, 1/4 tsp if using the solution.
Freshly grated coconut: ii tbsp
Salt: to taste

Method:


Boil  4-5 cups of H2O amongst a pinch of salt. Turn off the stove .

Separate the cauliflower florets, launder them together with add together them to the pot amongst warm water.Keep it inwards warm H2O for v mins. Then drain together with proceed aside.

Heat crude inwards a sauté pan/kadai. Add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add together cumin seeds together with curry leaves.

Add the ginger garlic glue together with onions together with sauté until the onions plow slightly golden brown.

Now add together haldi powder, chilli powder, tomatoes, hing together with sauté for a few minutes until the tomatoes are cooked.

Add the cauliflower florets, 1/2 loving cup of H2O & salt. Cover together with gear upward until the cauliflower has reached the desired tenderness. 



Add freshly grated kokosnoot together with mix well.Cook for a minute.


Serve hot amongst rice, roti or bread.
