Hello Kitty Cake: A Chocolate Cake Amongst Chocolate Mousse Too Buttercream Frosting.

Servings: 12-15 ( 2inches x iv inches  piece).

Ingredients:


All role flour: 1 & 3/4 cups
Granulated sugar: 2 cups
Cocoa pulverization ( unsweetened): 3/4 loving cup ( I used Hershey's)
Baking powder: 1 & 1/2 tsp
Baking soda: 1 & 1/2 tsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Eggs: 2, large
Coffee/ warm water: 1 cup
Milk: 1 loving cup ( at room temperature)
Canola oil: 1/2 loving cup ( whatever cooking petroleum tin move used).
Vanilla essence: 1 & 1/2 tsp

For the frosting: ( makes iv cups)

Powdered sugar: iv cups
Unsalted butter: 1 cup
Vanilla essence: 2 tsp
Milk/ water: 2-3 tbsp
Salt: a pinch


For the Chocolate mousse:

Semisweet chocolate chips: 1 cup
Heavy cream/ whipping cream: 1 cup

Method:

Buttercream Frosting: 


Sift the powdered saccharide too proceed ready.

Add the butter to the mixer bowl too cream the butter on medium setting until smooth.

Add vanilla essence too tabular array salt too trounce for a minute. Add the powdered saccharide 1/2 loving cup at a time, beating for 10 seconds later each addition.

Add milk/water 1 tbsp at a time, beating for few seconds until you lot receive got reached the desired consistency.

Take 1/2 loving cup of the frosting inwards 2 bowls. Add ruby-red color to i too dark to the other. Mix well. Take 1/4 loving cup frosting too teach inwards pinkish ( optional). I used this for the centre of the bow equally I had unopen to leftover pinkish frosting. You don't receive got to exercise it.

The Chocolate mousse:



Take the chocolate chips inwards oestrus proof bowl.Heat the cream on the stove move past times until it bubbles.  Add this to the bowl containing the chocolate chips too stir good until all the chocolate had melted . The oestrus from the cream volition melt the chocolate.

Spread  the chocolate  mouse on move past times of bottom layer so that it forms a filling for the cake.

Crumb Coating: 

Apply a sparse coat of the white buttercream frosting too crumb-coat the cake. Place it inwards the fridge for atleast a yoke of hours ( or overnight) earlier decorating the cake.



Decorating the cake:


Take the cake out of the refrigerator. Using a toothpick, roughly outline the bow, the eyes, olfactory organ too whiskers.


Using an offset spatula too white frosting, frost the sides too smoothen it.

Using Wilton tip # 3 describe the whiskers of the kitty amongst dark frosting. Also fill upwardly up the eyes too brand the outline of the bow.



Using the star tip # xviii an ruby-red buttercream frosting, fill upwardly inwards the bow, except the centre of the flares of the bow which I receive got colored pink.



Now using the star tip #18 too the white frosting fill upwardly inwards the residual of the move past times of the cake too the bottom employment on the cake board.
