As a child, I never ate moolangi/ radish. This is because my woman raise never bought or cooked moolangi. Why???because she does non similar the odour that it imparts spell cooking. Ingredients:


Moolangi /White radish: ii medium length ones.
Onion: 1 medium chopped
Tur dal: 1/4 cup
Sambar powder: 1 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder:1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
Jaggery/ brownish sugar: 1/2 tsp
Tamarind: marble sized if dry,( 1/4 tsp if pulp)
Water: 1 cup+ 1 cup
Mustard seeds  : 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Asofoetida: pinch
Cilantro ( coriander leaves): 1/4 loving cup chopped.

Method:


Cook tur dal  thoroughly alongside 1 loving cup H2O inwards the pull per unit of measurement area cooker too function along aside. When cooled, whip it lightly then that it becomes homogenous.

With a knife/ peeler scrape the tegument of the radish. Wash it too piece it into 0.5 cms thickness slices.
