Ingredients:


Bitter gourd ( Karela): 2-3 medium sized.
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Coconut oil: 2-3 tbsp ( whatsoever cooking petroleum may hold upwards used)
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves: 1 sprig ( optional)
Onion: 1 medium-sized, chopped
Asofoetida: a pinch
Kashmiri crimson Chilli powder: 1 tbsp ( paprika tin hold upwards used instead of crimson chilli powder)
Jaggery: 1 tsp ( chocolate-brown saccharide may hold upwards used instead of jaggery)
Tamarind pulp: 1 tsp, dissolved inwards 1/4 loving cup of water.

Method:


Slice the Karela into 0.5 cms thick rings. Mix it alongside a niggling tabular array salt as well as 1 tsp turmeric powder. Keep this aside for at to the lowest degree thirty mins to 1 hour. This takes the bitterness away.

Add the fried Karela slices to the pan. Toss nicely as well as so that all the pieces are coated alongside the sauce. Let it come upwards offering for 1-2 mins.

Serve hot alongside rice/ roti ( apartment breadstuff ) or breadstuff of whatsoever kind. Tastes non bad alongside curd rice.
