Cranberry Chutney; Anniversary Special; Meatless Monday

Fall brings inwards fresh cranberries to our area. Around thanksgiving, it is all close cranberries. I honey cranberries. I honey the color, the texture, the taste.. Everything close it. I eat cranberries all through the year. Dried ones, of course. I pose it inwards my oatmeal every morning, I add together it inwards my breads, pulav/ pulaf, I fifty-fifty snack on them.I potable cranberry juice quite often. Servings: makes two cups of chutney


Ingredients:


Fresh cranberries: 1/2 lb or 250 gms
Urad dal ( split upwards matpe beans): two tbsp
White Sesame seeds: two tbsp
Dried reddish chillies: 3-4 count ( y'all tin suit based on your spice level)
Jeera( cumin): 1 tsp
Garlic clove: two small
Salt: equally per taste

Tempering ( optional):
Coconut oil: 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Hing pulverization ( asofoetida ): a pinch


Method:


Rinse together with dry out the cranberries. Put them inwards a thick bottomed pan together with laid on a depression flaming amongst a petty tabular array salt until completely mushy. Takes close 10-15 mins. When done, plough off the flaming together with permit it cool down.
